Potawatomi Trail of Death - Entries from the diary of Jesse C. Douglas, Enrolling Agent under General Tipton, 17 - 18th Oct, 1838:

Traveled 13 mi. to Huntsville, MO. Snow and rain. Will remain in camp for 2 days. Indians were handed straw for beds.
